Yep, it’s exactly what people said would happen after 2077 came out. In about a year or two we’re gonna start seeing articles like “Henry Cavill saw an early preview of the Witcher 4 and said it was AMAZING!!!” and people are gonna eat that shit up.
I can’t stand people who go “the thing I dislike is actually VERY problematic!!” Plagiarism and A.I. art theft are genuine issues that people should take seriously, and nerds like this trying to piggyback on the conversation to push their own agenda does nothing but cheapen the actual causes they’re pretending to care about.
Really stoked to see the amount of support this game is getting! I do hope they up the difficulty a fair bit for this expansion though. I was feeling pretty much invincible after a few ship upgrades in the main game.
Valve has shown pretty good stewardship over their position so far, but I can’t help roll my eyes every time someone proudly states that they’ll only buy a game if it’s on steam.
Sorry gamers, but not even your wholesome 100 Gaben steam sales are immune to enshittification. Sooner or later the company’s ownership will fall into new hands, and then you’ll wonder if tying your entire digital library to steam was maybe not the best idea in the world.
