I’d like to run local LLM with ethical models some day, if there’s such models.

It gets the job done enough to understand the jist for me, yeah. But mostly I only do short posts. A language like Japanese makes it just a lot harder from what I understand from friends that learned the language. IIRC it’s because the language relies on unspoken context and of course its grammar making machine translation trip.

I’m liking it so far. Yes, didn’t write anything since the 15th to today on the 17th, I had a dryvstart with the black the most. Purple and orange is a bit dry to start but quickly writes well enough. I wouldn’t blame the inks in this case as I knew them well and this must be the quality of $15 clone pens :P

You don’t have to preach to me how it won’t be the same. I’ve tried a Lamy 2000 and know there are clones of it, and I know it won’t be the dame even without getting the clones.

VP is just different enough that I’d want to try a clone first. And besides, the patent for the mechanism has ended. The two Chinese branda that have the VP style, Majohn and Jinhao, at least waited for it to end and do their version.

I didn’t decide to get them lightly. Even with cheap things I do research first because money is money no matter how cheap something is. The 20s getsvthe job done enough and sometimes exceed VP owners’ expectations from what I gather from youtube and reddit.

You could tey Super Agent on firefox. Though they only have 40 free pop ups before paying either subscription or one time pay.

It worked really well for me and I didn’t realize it was doing its thing until I quickly reached the 40 pop up limit.

Translation is my main use. Yes, the caveat that AI is 50/50 wrong is still there but at least I don’t have to pester friends that know the language for everything. I only use it for unimportant things.

Tldr: Zen is Arc Browser before they went AI brain worm but firefox based.

I like Zen browser because of their workspace thing. There’s pinned tabs, but with zen each workspace can have its own pinned tabs. I still van set a global pinned tabs for all workspaces. And they work great with firefox containers. Each workspace can have a default container. So that way my work workspace can have only my work google account signed in, and my personal only with ny personal etc.

But ine of the major bugs though is that sometimes your tabs can just go poof. Had it happened to me earlier in the year, managed to restore my tabs somehow. Reported the bug but I don’t see progress on the issue tracker as far as I ca understand.

If syncing netween desktop and monile is a concern, zen still uses firefox sync.

I’ve played enough perpetually Early Access / beta vudeo games, beta web browser is just another software to me 😅

Zen can still use Firefox sync to sync between desktop and mobile. Just have to use a firefox based mobile browser that didn’t cut out firefox sync. I’m personally use Waterfox on Android, and Zen on Windows. My plan to move to linux by buying a new 2TB SSD is kind of on hold for now…

While Zen has their own mods page that works better with it, Firefox extensions work well.

Not that I noticed any difference. Although these days I only read on my phone, and I don’t have a tablet. So more than likely whatever scaling or quality served to me has a phone level of limit.

I agree. Their database or at least a long list what they had should be shared somewhere. Torrents should probably still be in nyaa. If that fails I assume they are in private trackers and in ehwntai or nhentai.

Sounds like a good plan then. Although my migration might be on hold due to AI mania making RAM and SSD expnsive asf. I knew I should have followed my bipolar ii induced gut feeling and just buy the SSD last month.

So like I plan to install a distro on a new 2 TB stick eventually. I wouldn’t want to download everything again tbh.

And for the to-be old Windows drive it’s just going to be for MS Projects and potentially other big name project schedulers, so I’m fine not playing Windows only or kernel anticheat games.

I would think Big Pharma will aggressively fight against it.
