38·15 days ago@ [email protected] is a little bitch.
Also, if he bans me from a single .ml community, I’ll pull my donation to the lemmy devs.

38·1 month agoSh.itjust.works is fine if you want to join a mid-sized instance.I personally find DB0 to be a bit suspect (they tolerate and sometimes enable tankies).
blahaj isn’t particularly hostile toward anarchism or democratic socialism, I don’t think, but it’s largely a liberal instance. It’s defederated from hexbear & lemmygrad, so a lot of socialist content is blocked.
dbzer0 is explicitly anarchist. It blocks lemmygrad but not hexbear.
slrpnk is anarchist-friendly and environmentalist. It blocks both hexbear & lemmygrad.
lemmy.ml is predominantly socialist. It’s federated with everyone except for porn and fascist instances[1]. The only instances that block it that I can only think of are infosec.pub, > lemmy.cafe, and programming.dev.
Quite a few instances are defederated from lemmygrad and/or hexbear. Hexbear is basically only blocks lemmy.world, and lemmygrad only blocks porn and fascist instances.
none. join a piefed instance instead.

211·2 months agoFor other people blocking me, I don’t really care if they do or don’t, it’s just unfortunate unintended side effects for the actual reasons below. If I was really ban/block evading I’d just make up an entirely new user name each time, it would be FAR more effective and longer lasting.
Trolling .ml or Why am I cross-posting .ml content?
I cross-post from .ml to the nearest relevant non-.ml comm to reduce the influence of .ml comms and indirectly, the instance as a whole, to make it an easier decision for other instance admins to defederate because one key reason I identified that admins don’t want to defederate is because .ml still has some very large comms and some niche comms.
Some highlights from the link: “Don’t worry guys, the Uyghur Genocide was REALLY just birth control! ~dessalines, .ml admin, dev https://lemmy.world/post/30580167 “See! nobody died IN Tiananmen Square, just AROUND it, so it doesn’t count!!” ~ Davel, .ml admin https://lemmy.world/post/30673342
.ml admin, Nutomics continued transphobia https://lemmy.world/post/29222558 The original transphobic Comment from Nutomic: https://lemmy.world/post/18236068
“NK is actually good and anything counter to that is Western propaganda!” ~dessalines, .ml admin, dev https://lemmy.world/post/31595035
General negative sentiment to other instances who haven’t “seen the way” yet ~davel, .ml admin https://lemmy.world/post/27426510
“If you don’t support Russia then you just don’t understand geopolitics” ~dessalines, .ml admin, dev https://lemmy.world/post/27352415
And so so much documentation on clear heavy handed censorship and bias also on the link. So much I can’t even put them all here because this comment would be really long.
I believe the behavior of its admins (the main admins are Lemmy devs) does harm to the overall growth of the Lemmy-verse and maybe even the Thrediverse (since Lemmy kinda kicked off the Thrediverse) because of its association with the devs of Lemmy and their insistence to use .ml as their personal political platform to spread harmful propaganda
On the outside, bringing up Lemmy frequently leads to comments like “Lemmy? Isn’t that the place with a bunch of tankies?” Or “Tried Lemmy, but found it full of pro Russia crap so I left”. The best way forward from that I see is to either widely defederate from .ml like the rest of the Triad, or pressure them to put a fair and unbiased as possible admin team.

"The admins gave me and others the decision. I didn’t ask for this. As such, I decided to go with the least amount of headache, and have removed him from communities I am top moderator of. @[email protected] is free to re-apply, and I will gladly discuss this.
The admins decided this without actually discussing this with me. They merely reminded me that as top moderator I had the power to remove moderators beneath me. They never mentioned to me that I would be taking on the role of top moderator of other communities until I was made aware of this post and the update.
The admins on NUMEROUS occasions have had no issues stepping in and moderating on our behalf, without discussion. The fact they want to defer now is odd, as this is a first-time occurrence.
I just didn’t want to be the final decider of a bigger topic.
This may be the final straw that breaks this camel’s back. I’m not sure how much more BS I can deal with."

Videos@lemmy.ml•The China They Don't Want You to See: XinjiangEnglish
20·8 months agoI presented multiple sources that are holistic and contextual, in fact they are of the same nature as yours except they include last names and city where they live in addition to being a video format that directly state there is no cultural genocide. If my sources are based in belief and as such not valid, then so are yours.
Then I would point you to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Resolutions on Muslim Communities and Muslim Minorities in the non-OIC Member States in 2019 which: Welcomes the outcomes of the visit conducted by the General Secretariat’s delegation upon invitation from the People’s Republic of China; commends the efforts of the People’s Republic of China in providing care to its Muslim citizens; and looks forward to further cooperation between the OIC and the People’s Republic of China.
https://www.oic-oci.org/docdown/?docID=4447&refID=1250
as well as the letter, over 50+ UN member states (mostly Muslim-majority nations) signed (A/HRC/41/G/17) https://undocs.org/Home/Mobile?FinalSymbol=A%2FHRC%2F41%2FG%2F17) to the UN Human Rights Commission approving of the de-radicalization efforts in Xinjiang:
…separatism and religious extremism has caused enormous damage to people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, which has seriously infringed upon human rights, including right to life, health and development. Faced with the grave challenge of terrorism and extremism, China has undertaken a series of counter-terrorism and deradicalization measures in Xinjiang, including setting up vocational education and training centers. Now safety and security has returned to Xinjiang and the fundamental human rights of people of all ethnic groups there are safeguarded. The past three consecutive years has seen not a single terrorist attack in Xinjiang and people there enjoy a stronger sense of happiness, fulfillment and security. We note with appreciation that human rights are respected and protected in China in the process of counter-terrorism and deradicalization.
We appreciate China’s commitment to openness and transparency. China has invited a number of diplomats, international organizations officials and journalist to Xinjiang to witness the progress of the human rights cause and the outcomes of counter-terrorism and deradicalization there. What they saw and heard in Xinjiang completely contradicted what was reported in the media. We call on relevant countries to refrain from employing unfounded charges against China based on unconfirmed information before they visit Xinjiang.
These are holistic and contextual facts from a non anecdotal source. Will you actually engage with the arguement instead performing strawman, no true scotsman, and motte & bailey fallacies?
