Oh good, someone finally built the Torment Nexus. I was so worried that the title “Don’t Build the Torment Nexus” would have put them off of it.

If I didn’t need to have a profile there for work I wouldn’t. I had two jobs that were kind enough to tell me when I asked that they immediately passed on me because my resume had no LinkedIn or Facebook, and I deleted my Facebook a year ago.

The only thing I use AI for is generating character art for tabletop portraits and when the well is sufficiently poisoned I will probably go back to Pinterest.

It’s funny, I own a switch and I would have bought the game (and I probably will still if the technical and QoL issues get resolved) but I’m emulating it better than the hardware can run it right now.

I like it more, but I’m a fan of the more classic Zeldas. It’s good, but it’s marred by the same technical issues that plagued the LA remake, and the lack of some basic QoL features like a Quick Select or Favorites wheel is bringing it from ‘great’ to ‘good.’

My next board and all for the foreseeable future will be AMD. I’m only rocking a 13600K right now and I haven’t had any issues, but the last bios update I did specifically to get the first microcode update wiped my GPU drivers, and the gigabyte update platform installed Norton and some other network monitoring software without my consent.

God I would love for Total Distortion to show up on GOG or Steam one day.

It makes a lot more sense if you reframe it as freedom for rich white landowners in the 1800s to not have to pay taxes to King George, not so much for the peons, paupers and slaves.

There’s a sandwich shop around Vancouver that’s only open like 10-2 on weekdays so I hardly ever get to go, but they get their bread from a local bakery every morning and it makes all the difference. It’s a simple turkey and cheddar sandwich, lettuce, tomato, pickle, a hint of mayo and Dijon mustard, but the ingredients are all quality and, again, the bread is fresh and super soft.

My job absolutely fucking sucks but the money’s good and I need insurance so I can’t leave without having anything lined up, and the market for IT jobs is absolutely dogshit right now so I’ve had zero hits on the apps I’ve put out.

I hate capitalism.

Falling Down

I get this with a young (30’s) CEO at a small business. Dude has literally zero follow through, he will ask for things, you will do them, he will forget he asked for them, and then complain you didn’t do an entirely unrelated thing that he never asked for. I am genuinely astounded at how he makes it to the office the few days he’s actually here.

Yeah no, that Oregon sandwich is almost certainly Pine State Biscuits’ “The Reggie Deluxe” which is delicious, but there are maybe five locations entirely in Portland at which it’s served.
