If anything, this would be an appeal to authority. It’s not like the post is saying half of the American people believe it’s genocide and therefore it is. No, the claim is that several relevant organizations like the ICC, ICJ, and Human Rights Watch, etc., are saying that it is genocide. That’d be like claiming that the vast majority of climate scientists believing in global warming is supporting evidence that global warming is likely true. It is. It’s not enough evidence on its own, but it is evidence nonetheless.
That’s the thing. Not all appeals to authority are fallacious. Supporting a claim with an expert’s opinion is a logically sound way to support an argument.

In this exact scenario, I feel like the bottom track would slow the trolley down quicker, no? There is no room to stabilize, just pure flesh on wheel, 24/7. Not to mention the constant sharp turns, I think it would topple over long before the top one reaches its final kill count.

I think it would be best if we just avoided the whole cult mentality thing, personally.
I’m unable to hear lock him up much at all. “Loh 'im uh!” is the closest I can get when forcing it… I’m just not hearing any Ks or Ps at the end of those words, no matter how hard I try.

35·2 months agoIf the amount of pixels is anything to go by, this meme has also been around longer than the Confederacy.
Unfortunately, that really doesn’t seem to be true. YT is a monopoly, they do what they want. None of my friends use Firefox, despite me telling them that ad blockers still work on it. They could spend 3 minutes switching to Firefox and losing some of the niche features they have on Opera GX or whatever they hell they use, or they could just watch the occasional 5-second ad. They just don’t care enough. I imagine most users are more than likely like that.
178·2 months agoAI art has a very real place in current society. It’s very useful, and is absolutely going to get better and become a normal part of the future. We’re not going to avoid it, so we should work on making AI less morally fucked. The technology isn’t the problem, the people behind it are. Rather than stealing art, the multi-million/billion-dollar companies behind these models need to pay artists for every single piece of art they use in their models.

2·3 months agoOne of the more highly upvoted comments on the original thread just posted this link, and I don’t think it could be more apt.
BlockTheSpot + Spicetify esentially gives you spotify premium for free. No lyrics, and no downloads, but otherwise most premium features are completely free.
That said, I’m considering switching to Deezer, but they do have some missing songs, which is unfortunate.
For the vast, vast majority of Doom (2016) players who have never played Doom (1993), they would probably completely disagree.
I think it makes more sense to refer to the more relevant, popular, and well-known game as Doom and just refer to the other as “the original Doom” or Doom (1993). Especially since that’s what the store page does, as the other person made clear on the 2016 end, and this store page should make clear on the 1993 end.
You’re ignoring what they’re saying. They know that. They simply disagree with your definition of consent because, well, its not the definition of consent.
