I understand the sentiment here, so this isn’t directed at you, but I’ve never understood the at least they didn’t physically suffer idea. Sudden fear and confusion right before death is awful.

Its pretty obvious that the folks at Linux aren’t going to just say fuck the WiFi stack because the current sole maintainer is stepping down.
Also, it being a sole maintainer doesn’t mean no one else would could do it… Its probably a job that this person was able to handle solo and now that the position has become vacant, another will step in.
If this was some small niche I can understand the concern about the potential of having it go unfilled but WiFi / wireless is crucial.
Dude chill it’ll be fine. Why are you on the ledge after this post? Someone is obviously going to step up and take their place.
1000% agree on the last sentence. I’ve used that as a metric for years.
Not trying to be snarky, but do you understand the concept of equity?
Yeah what point is that?
Lol the guy says one thing I agree with and I’m supposed to throw out everything else I know about him. Get real.
Lol who is downvoting this is one of the steps that must be taken.
You gotta be trolling or using gpt for yhis… Rinse the rice??? After its cooked?! [Insert uncle roger meme] if your rice too wet you fucked up.
Anyone reading this do not follow those instructions.
Make some rice the day before and let it chill… Slap that shit in a wok / skillet with some oil. Cook till it gets a little browned and crispy… Remove from wok and cook your other veggies / protein. Re add the rice and toss together and then serve.
If you dont want to prep rice day before just skip frying the rice and have a traditional stir Fry.
Some of this is okay, but how are you going to give this person fried rice tips (essentially what you are suggesting by adding the rice at the end) and not telling them to use day old rice thats been chilled in the fridge.
That one tip above all else will improve the texture of your meal tenfold!
Lol yeah exactly… Its such a brain dead take.
Its so liberating to just accept this mindset everyhwhere. I personally feel so comfortable voting with my wallet I don’t even feel a sense of missing out anymore.
Yeah watch me not deny it tho; I intended for it to be snarky and anticipated this impact.
I’ll counter your anectdote with my own. Every single Linux community member I have encountered on my journey to use this as a daily driver (arch BTW) has been incredibly helpful.
Intention vs. Impact, look it up.
I downvoted because of the snark in first paragraph.
Yeah fuck this guys (OP, not the person I’m replying under) take. Hobbies need less gatekeepers and if I want to do research about gear, make nice purchases as a way to deepen my investment into the hobby so be it.
Example: I just got into fitness. I have almost no need for some of the products ive been buying, however through the research ive stumbled across some excellent articles and a few YouTube channels that inspire me. Even if the gear / gadgets do nothing more than inspire you to show up and try them out, its worked.
The issue is folks using them as daily drivers in congested areas. A pickup absolute serves a specific purpose for hauling / towing, construction workers / worksites / handywork etc.
You’re 100% correct but it causes people to look inward and most can’t wrestle with that dissonance.
Female animals are repeatedly raped, have their children taken, are forced to produce milk, etc. Males are culled yeaaaars earlier than average life expectancy or turned into meat pulp instantly in the case of chicken farms. Rinse repeat forever. All in disgusting conditions, but hey at least we can eat meat 🙄.
Go against the grain and order plant based alternatives and attempt to eat vegetarian / vegan as often as possible. Try it for 6 months, the meat isn’t going anywhere.
This is the dumbest comment I’ve read so far this week.
