Conservative / fascist leaders deserve it, the rest of us do not. The kids who were too young to vote, the leftists who fight against fascism, and the workers who don’t have the time to follow politics do not deserve any of what is to come.

Trump and his fascists deserve most of the blame, but I fear that liberals won’t learn from this. Realpolitik is bullshit. When you promise to help people but then sell us out to lobbyists and the donor class decade after decade after decade, then people lose all faith in institutions. Facts don’t matter because those facts were used to gaslight time and time again.

Partly. The DNC forcing Harris to adopt conservative talking points / abandon the Tim Walz progressive policies was also a massive blow to her base. You can’t spend 8 years comparing Republicans to Nazis and then promise to put them on your cabinet and to continue their racist border policy. Fellow millennial here and I’d say the common culture of the past that made us feel stupid for not knowing certain famous people is mostly dead. Society is so splintered in what media we consume that even my friends with very similar interests consume different games, movies, books, music, etc.

Technically, if we had true AI, then yes, but the LLMs we have right now are build on an unbelievable amount of poverty wage labor. We’re talking sweat shops of Kenyans working for $2 an hour. As long as ChatGPT needs an army of wage slaves to function then I refuse to consider it a real AI
