  • It’s a struggle for me, I know as I’ve had to take breaks for weeks at a time from this site and reading the news in general so that I wouldn’t fall into complete despair, and I’ve had my gripes with those who participate in that type of behavior.

I apologize for only contributing to the problem and bringing down the mood, I try to keep my emotions at bay and keep to a baseline of simply waiting and seeing how the situation develops, and I try not to burden others when I do fall into bouts of despair and keep it to myself, but there are some events and some days, where I just to scream into the void, where I just want to crawl into a hole and never come out and wish that I wasn’t a communist so that I didn’t have to experience the pain of seeing a better world becoming ever more further from reach.

I’ll try to be better about it.

  • Telegram

Could you show the source or the channel of where you got this quote from? Because the only other places I see this being stated elsewhere are unsourced twitter posts, with one being from almost 24 hours ago as of this writing, with no reports on whether Pakistan actually occupies 10% of Afghanistan’s territory at the moment.

Here’s the map in question that people are claiming that Pakistan itself supposedly released.

Also, I imagine an escalation such as having 10% of a west asian country’s territory physically occupied by another within a few days (if true) would be massive fucking news that all the major news outlets and the broader internet would be immediately reporting on and not remain known to a small group of people for hours on end.

Until new information comes forward, showing definitive proof of Pakistan occupying 10% of Afghanistan, I’m writing this off as just a false and made-up claim.

  • The Israelis aren’t too happy about Trump’s reponse.

“How desperate is Trump for a Nobel Prize on a scale from one to tweeting this nonsense?” — News of Israel.

“President Trump calls on Israel to stop the attacks in the Gaza Strip, he has fallen into the trap of Hamas statement." — Israeli Channel 14.

“Trump sold Israel for a Nobel candidacy.” — Yino News on Channel 14.

“This is completely crazy. Trump states: Israel must stop bombing Gaza immediately. Hamas is ready for peace based on the response they gave us.” — Israeli Channel 12.

“For the first time since the start of the war, the US does not accept the principle of negotiating under fire.” — Yaron Avraham of Israeli Channel 12.

“We were always alone.” — Hillel Biton Rosen of Israeli Channel 14

“The tables have turned on us.” — Hadashot.

“The state’s leadership remains silent after Trump’s response.” — Ma’ariv.

“After Netanyahu succeeded in introducing amendments to the Trump plan, the Arab states achieve a new tactical victory, and this plan as a whole is turned into a state of radical change. Trump distorts the reputation of Israel, which cannot currently say that Hamas’s response is unacceptable to it.” — Israeli Channel 11.

Apparently, even officials close to Netanyahu are saying that he was ‘surprised’ by Trump’s response.

  • The thumbnail of the first video is just clickbait, with the conclusion at the end of the video being that Trotsky wasn’t right or completely vindicated about everything and that Trotsky and Stalin both used the history of the Soviet Union as a weapon for political and ideological orthodoxy.

Here’s the transcript of that conclusion

Now, am I trying to argue that Trotsky was right about everything after all and is completely politically vindicated? No, not at all. Rather, this is just an illustrative example of how in the 1920s, Soviet history itself was one of the key weapons wielded in the battle for political and ideological orthodoxy. As the ongoing historiography series will illustrate, Stalin cultivated a certain historical narrative that was favorable to himself and his goals. Well, Trotsky did the same. In the former’s case, a considerable industry emerged of party committees, government departments, press outlets, even entertainment. The school of falsification, if you will, which wrote and rewrote the history of the revolution. This school censored or suppressed certain pieces of evidence, canonizing one interpretation to the detriment of others, and in the process worked to cement Stalin’s position as the school’s leading professor.
