More like I’ve officially become…
Unemployed for a month with no income/savings and desperate as fuck™
Nah this is pretty average for ADHD too. Maybe not sinking a fuckload of money (I guess it depends on the person) but hyperfixations are a thing. Get really focused on one thing because it gives you dopamine so you sink more and more time into it until no more dopamine. Suddenly it becomes a chore to do like everything else, you feel betrayed, and end up in a feeling of malaise trying to find your next hit of dopamine.
I ain’t trying to make it. I don’t want to do programming. This is more of a nightmare than I expected. I hate every second of it. I’m doing it to try and pay my electricity bill.
I’m more for world of warships personally.
Oh I’m not doing this to primarily learn Rust for anything else other than this specific job. I am going to be looking into other languages later but this is just to put food on the table for me and the cat. It’s evidently a rather simple thing, to an extent, so hopefully it won’t take me too long.
My applause is begrudging.
I did that with booze for a few years. Yeah… I had to learn Russian to pummel the fuck to death. My fault for choosing vodka as the poison of choice.
You can if you want, Daddy
I have zero programming experience and zero computer know how at all. I am, however, out of a job and in desperate need for cash for the simple basics. So I dunno how long this is going to take but not being able to see the big picture and not knowing if I’m wasting my time… oh my christ do I relate to that. Even the request had me staring at it like “Oh god.” I did warn them that there was no guarantee it would ever materialize due to my own failings and if it did it would be a hot damn minute.
I have so many saved tabs right now about rust and apis and docker and sql stuff. For someone whose total computer knowledge is “Settings where the things go” and “don’t delete system32” this is… terrifying.
It’s a cardboard yu-gi-oh duel disk. This is the video the thumbnail is from.
Yeah. Hard to believe someone else nerdy could be happy and in a relationship when they’re not.
Aww look at that. Poor lil baby can’t handle it’s delusions being shaken.
Fuck your feelings.
I’m not dismissing your opinion. I’m dismissing the tone-deaf and whiny way with which you voiced it. Grow up and engage with reality lol
Bye kiddo!
Well, there’s a couple of flaws with your conclusion.
The first is that I didn’t say whether or not I believed it. That is irrelevant to the situation which is your own behavior.
The second point is that being entertained by something does not mean inherently believing it. Someone can enjoy something without thinking it’s pure truth. If you want to argue that fact then I really suggest you never watch a scary movie because you could end up being mistakenly beliving it’s true and them becoming a serial killer!
Your comment is valid in the sense that it’s allowed to be made. It’s invalid in the sense that it, well, doesn’t make any. It’s a self centered view on the world that acts like you are the be-all and end-all of what gets to be judged. Moreover, you don’t seem to be able to grasp the concept of false entertainment for fun. Seems like a really sad world honestly. Only ever able to watch documentaries. You know. Because reality matches it so you’re not being ‘deluded’.
Clown.
They still added more content and something more interesting than a pessimistic dismissive comment.
I do not understand this type of shit. Just… get on with your life. Is it so empty that you need to focus on negative things and complain about them?
Edit: For the clarification needed, @seeyouatthepartyrichter initially said the typical “this 100% happened” thing.
Then they doubled down and said anyone who believed this type of stuff was a fool expecting ‘reality to match their delusion’. They then insisted they weren’t going to read anything posted and kept shrieking at the top of their lungs like a 5 year old child.
A 2013-2016 British Sitcom starring Ian McKellen, Derek Jacobi and Iwan Rheon called Vicious. Ian and Derek play an old gay couple who’ve been together for 50 years and are, well, vicious to each other. Fucking hysterical show if for no reason than to see Ian camp it up. Also really appreciate grabbing two famous gay actors to play the parts.
Cannot help but love how good they are.
