Even though those show up on their website, none of the 4K models are available on Amazon/Walmart or at best have very limited/erratic stock. I only see the 75” one in stock, and only on Walmart. Furthermore, they are just simply worse quality than a comparably priced smart TV. For the same price as their 55” 4K HDR TV you can get a TCL that’s also QLED and has local dimming, plus HDMI 2.1 and google TV do you can put it in a dumb mode anyways. So really there isn’t a great reason to get one of these.
I have a google tv, and the “Basic Mode” when you set it up or the “Apps only mode” both are a lot better than the overstimulation nightmare that is most smart TVs (and a google TV with normal settings)
I did some research and couldn’t find any evidence that it does. That could be a capability that the Space Force doesn’t want to be public though
It looks like NASA has flown payloads onboard the X-37B before, so I think it is well within possibility that they could get some room on board for Mars samples during a return. They might not even need to “book” a whole flight as long as the mission has room/capacity for the samples aboard, and the sample container could probably hang out in a medium orbit for a while after getting back to Earth, awaiting an X-37B mission to come up at its own leisure since the orbiter could do all of the rendezvous maneuvering on its own
Good point, actually the X-37B would make a lot of sense: it’s uncrewed, can obviously be up for a long period of time (years), and can go to pretty high orbits as well on a Falcon Heavy, plus it has an arm right? So it’d just be a question of getting the USSF on board
If they’re going to “transfer to a space plane”, that to me sounds like a LEO rendezvous, so at that point why not just rendezvous with a crew/cargo dragon instead of designing a brand new spaceplane?
Master Miller in MGS1 tells you to take a break a lot
Is there a website to take this test somewhere?
Don’t get it twisted, I love cursing like a sailor and do so regularly. But when I see it excessively in an internet post that makes someone seem like they’re trying too hard to fit in with adults online and be extra edgy
Excessive swearing, as if they just learned how to say “fuck”.
Not that any damn amount of fucking swearing means they are are a young fucker, but you can fucking tell when you read that shit and they manage nine goddamn swear words in one fucking sentence you know they’re a young bitch who aren’t allowed to swear any other damn time.
Thanks for Batman, I’ve never played that one
Pretty much all modern EVA suits (like the ones used by US, China, Russia) run a pure oxygen at about .20 ATM so that the internal pressure is lower but the amount of oxygen the astronaut is breathing is the same density of oxygen as at 1 ATM. This allows much better maneuverability in the space suit, because any air mixture at 1 ATM makes it nearly immediately to move in a space suit (they become too stiff).
Point is, we have been doing spacewalks like this since spacewalks started and no one has spontaneously combusted on one.
Honestly if I could put my own SSDs in MacBooks I would be very interested in them, especially as the Asahi project gets better. But I have my doubts that will ever happen.
If a country like the US had a lower violent dead per capita than other first world countries like France or Germany, I would agree with you.
It doesn’t have as high of a gun ownership rate as the US (no one does), but Czechia has some of the laxest gun laws in Europe, including allowing the concealed carry of a handgun like the US (at least 1 million Czechs have permits to own a firearm, a large portion of which conceal carry them for self defense) and they have a lower homicide rate than Germany or France (Source: World Bank)
Even as a supporter of gun rights, I don’t think that definitively proves that guns, on a societal level, prevent deaths. I don’t believe that in general. I do believe, however, that on a personal level, a well trained individual who sees the need to defend themself or people they love can prevent harm by owning a firearm. I do also believe that in a society (America) with a broken policing system, and an increasingly authoritarian Republican party that wants to crack down on my rights and the rights of people I love, I’d like the option to protect myself and my friends/family.
I wonder how practical it would be to recommission old nuclear aircraft carriers as cargo ships
Seems like solar would be a really good solution in NM. Lots of land to build on, plenty of sun, and the population is spread out so large power plants like nuclear/coal would be less practical in that setting
I actually have one of these on the emergency kit my brother gave me for a car, he put it together in a like military style bag to keep in my trunk and it has a patch on it like that. It’s just a monochromatic version of the American flag, anyone I’ve known who has something like that doesn’t intend anything past that. Like others referenced, modern fatigues and gear in the US Military feature a similar monochromatic flag to that (usually black and the primary color of the uniform, like desert tan or olive drab) to save cost and make it blend in with the uniform better, so I think that popularized that to some degree in culture.
I understand the advantages of hydrogen since burning it doesn’t produce greenhouse gasses, but being around that much hydrogen makes me uneasy from everything I’ve read about how explody it is. I am sure the engineers responsible know what they’re doing though
Agreed, I should probably check that with my pi-hole.
