Wayland is not a display server, it’s just a protocol. The compositor acts as both window manager and handles the graphics card interface.

1·1 year agoThey use telemetry, trying to push Brave Rewards, Brave Wallet crypto stuff, Brave News. I find that a bit sneaky of a privacy focused browser.
Bought a new Pixel 7 Pro and wanted to use Firefox but scrolling was just so bad, lots of stuttering. Using Brave now and am very happy with it. You have to turn off some sneaky shit initially though.
I’m just curious, when do I have to care about virtual terminal speed? When do you need that GPU acceleration?
