I’m pretty sure it’s just text recognition. I don’t think it’s AI I think it’s the same garbage text recognition system they’ve had in there home hub speaker things for ages. Still infinitely better than what they’ve got in Siri.

I suspect that this will actually just result in them doing a lot of pump and dump schemes. They all seem to be in it for the short term so they’re not interested in long-term stability since stability generally means small profit gains. Market instability is where the con artist thrives.
To be fair yuppies and crypto bros are basically the same people. The stock market was only ever marginally less stupid. It’s only saving grace was it was somewhat regulated, albeit with a fair amount of corruption.
At least Biff had some idea of what he was doing. Cause and effect are not really concepts that Trump is familiar with.
My brother-in-law is big into crypto, I’ve had the same arguement with him so many times I’ve lost count. Investment requires that you invest in something that has value that will actually increase, and other than the crypto bros no one’s buying into cryptocurrencies so the value isn’t going to increase.
Anyway he’s rich, so I suppose it doesn’t really matter but it’s such a waste of money. Like if you want to invest get into stocks and shares at least they actually do increase in value.
If the industrial base is there you could build an angled gyroscope to add the necessary gravity. Although realistically much of the processing and shipping would be automated anyway. Unless AI gets really good some humans would still be necessary for oversight but reasonably with only a couple of seconds time delay that could be done from Earth.
If we were doing asteroid mining out in the belt that would definitely require some sort of habitat though. Again, assuming we don’t get AGI or uploading humans to software or something like that.
I was sort of hoping that lower decks was going to do something with him. Like have a space station or something they went to and every character was Combs.
I’m just interested what an individual radicalised towards the left would look like. The current American administration thinks that anyone who isn’t them is radically left but what does radically been left really involve?
I screwed in a light bulb the other day, that obviously involved technology should it be on here?
Unless it’s news about Amish lighting a candle at midnight most things these days include technology, so we need to be a bit more refined otherwise this thing just becomes a generic news community.
So we know that the business is not actually worth 14 billion dollars so what’s everyone’s estimates?
Personally I suspect that it’ll turn out they have a lot of debt and the government has just paid a lot of money to take that on because they haven’t done due diligence.
Ok so let’s say that they do threaten that and Trump does back down. Nintendo have gained nothing by doing this and have pissed off the dictator. Not a financially sound move really.
Nintendo are not a company that go after people that can fight back. They are bullies just as much as the current administration, the best that they would be able to do would be to get DHS to pull video, there’s no way they’d get compensation for this so they really don’t care.
It came out in 2015 which is only like 4 years ago
Easily dealt with. You simply escalate a ticket as high importance and now it’s someone else’s problem.
I used to have a teacher who used to say that. Genuinely thought that’s what the expression was.
That’s it, we’ll have to get rid of democracy now, there’s too many flaws.
Here in Europe I’ve only ever seen it sold as paracetamol, and it tends to just be generic supermarket brand. Looking in my medicine, random keys, and elastic bands draw (everyone has one) even my allergen medication is just sold as antihistamine, with no branding.
In the example you’re talking about the scientists were using it as a database. A Microsoft executive even came out and told them that you shouldn’t use it as a database.
Occasionally there’s even articles in scientific journals explaining why you shouldn’t use Excel as a database and suggesting alternatives. But for some reason people still turn to their favourite not database database software.
That wouldn’t protect you either since the risk is fraud not anything digital. None of this would have been able to happen had people not been able to get fraudulent software on his computer. If they can get software on computers that can take malicious actions, then even having it on a virtual machine won’t help you since it still needs to be connected to the internet to be useful.
An active antivirus system would have prevented this. Windows built-in antivirus system is horse dung. I’m pretty sure even the free tier of malware bites would have dealt with this.
What I cannot get about this arguement is that it’s entirely circular.
We cannot implement gun law because implementing gun law would violate the existing law. Yeah, that’s called changing the law. Republicans do it all the time. Often to someone’s detriment.
