frosch@sh.itjust.worksto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•I wish I didn't have to toss and turn so much. I want to cuddle to. :-(5·18 days agolmao, got a throwback to when Apps for monitoring your sleep were a new craze. You‘d put your mobile on your bed and see a graph of your movements the next day with wake and deep sleep times highlighted and stuff.
While mine was kinda active with a lot movement, my roommate just fucking flatlined for 8 hours. Not a single spike in that graph. I was in awe
The silver-ish thing on top is probably that tool some people use to get the inner kernel out of apples.
The OOP just shoved a pickle through it, I guess
Ahh, another perfect chance to link to my favourite role model of history: Roland the Farter
It was, had the same wtf-moment
In Germany, we do have some nicknames especially for tapwater: I personally know of Leitungsheimer, Kranwasser and Kraneberger

There is also a zsh-Plugin for the fuck. That way you can just double hit esc and zsh… uhm… fucks… automatically for you
Yeah… but
gp fuck
Still is less typing tho
Yeah, reminds me of a video I once saw: having an empty can on your desk and using one of those electronic lighters on it makes the display reset for some seconds.
HDMI isn’t shielded that well and the shocked can shortly acts as an antenna, sending gibberish signals that get picked up by the display.
Not really related to selfhosting per se, but two things come to my mind:
- Anytype is kinda like obsidian, but with a different approach. Every object is of some type and those can be searched, filtered etc in collections and sets - based on tags, attributes, … IIRC there even is a pre-made type „bookmark“ for links and documents.
- As of a workflow: for stuff like this I really feel that a „simplified“ GTD-approach works best for me - dump everything into an „inputstream“ as you encounter it and process this on a daily (or weekly) basis; prioritise, tag, remove it
frosch@sh.itjust.worksto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.ca•Why do we see pets/most animals as cute?2·4 months agoYeah… Cats get very very very used to regular schedules and patterns. I had to make a switch with one cat years ago because free feed didn’t work on him and he just overate and got fat.
You can’t imagine how much he pestered me because his bowl was empty :)
You just have to be a bit more patient and maybe hype up feeding time a bit more (bringing out their absolute favourite toy right beforehand eg). Maybe try to switch brands…
When you manage to create new patterns, your cat will happily adapt at some point
frosch@sh.itjust.worksOPto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do you put in first: Teabag or hot water?2·4 months agoDo you fill your cereal bowl with a garden hose? How does it travel with such a velocity that it spills out the other side? 😂

Cereal has to go before the water!

frosch@sh.itjust.worksOPto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do you put in first: Teabag or hot water?3·4 months agoSounds like that guy who made a sandwich from scratch: growing wheat, raising chicken etc. He said it was „okay“
When you’ve got no fancy coloured markings on your, you gotta help yourself? 🤷♂️
Okay, good for them I guess? … why tho?
