Firstly, my condolences for your great granduncle.
Since it has been 80 years for him now, does he remember his experience at Auschwitz as just another old memory? (Albeit, a quite important one) Or does he still remember it as a traumatic memory, as if it happened only a couple of years ago?

Jesus fucking christ, i knew the holocaust was horrible, and terrifying, but that sounds like hell on earth. It’s much more different and heartbreaking to hear his story directly, instead of just reading about auschwitz.
