Stormlight Archive (the whole series) also by Brandon Sanderson is the same for me. I think about it all the time and look for excuses to read.
Pace has a ghost pepper salsa that scratches the itch for me. It’s as spicy as any commercial jarred salsa I’ve found.

He tells the lie so that idiots who are already prejudiced can point to the “evidence” any time anyone tries to get them to have a shred of compassion for people less fortunate than them.
I made a very similar recipe with chicken the other day, I recommend it. I’ll be making it with lentils soon.

hutchmcnugget@lemmy.worldto You Should Know@lemmy.world•YSK: there's a type of common hallucination (often scary) that happens shortly after waking up. You can move and talk while seeing it and it can last between a few seconds up to a minute14·2 years agoI lived in my parents’ basement for a little over a year after college. During that time I had weekly (give or take) dreams that people were coming downstairs to watch me sleep. Often accompanied by sleep paralysis where I wanted them to leave so bad but couldn’t do anything. Terrifying stuff. That was 7 years ago and it hasn’t happened since I moved out.
OP asked for my thoughts, I gave my thoughts. I’m sorry you think my experience invalidates yours.
I have seen the word normie used in almost exclusively sarcastic or tongue in cheek contexts.
Some small local companies seem to get off on being hard to get a hold of, judgemental in matters of taste, and just overall unpleasant to deal with. Unfortunately you found a bad one.
I have a theory that a cookie shop in my area is a front for that reason, but I digress…
