It would intentionally black itself out whenever it thought something might be reading the screen, or whenever I used a monitor it didn’t like. It was literally easier to just find what I wanted on a piracy site.

Oh neat, I’m glad they finally added that. When I played a few years ago, there wasn’t any config file. So things like the rot mechanic and the broken* default boss scaling were forced upon the players.

*Enemy health and resistances would both be scaled, so 3 players would make the enemies 9 times harder instead of 3 times harder. We had to have one friend bring in their smurf character, and even then we struggled on the basic enemies in the Golden City.

Did they add the shitty unconfigurable difficulty scaling again?

I think different regions have their own customs, since there isn’t really any universal standard for this sort of thing. From what I’ve seen living in New England, most people don’t use the honorifics at all and just refer to people by name or as “you”. The only time I get called “sir” or “ma’am” is by older people working in retail (and half the time they get it wrong, which never feels good)
