I think it’s just an upselling strategy, although I agree I don’t think it makes much sense. Budget gamers really should look to AMD these days, but unfortunately Nvidia’s brand power is ridiculous.

Damage-wise it’s fine. The thing is they keep removing the fun stuff from the job. Dragon sight was finicky and crap, but the more time passes the more they removefwhat makes anyone interested in the job. Mechanically anyway.

For a new player sword and shield is the easy mode. Magic tends to make you squishy, and if you aren’t great at not dying getting your souls to the spell merchants is rough (if even know how to do their quests)
It really depends on the game you play. Even if you are not going for the highest FPS possible, there are many games where this is the right choice (like simulation games or MMOs, for example).
So what are these easy anti-cheat solutions that can detect aim-hacking?
No matter how good your photocopier is, a copy of a copy is worse, and gets worse everytime you do it.
No one is forced to do achievements to enjoy a game. I understand achievement hunting, but since they can easily be cheated (on steam at least) it really is only a personal goal. If you are not enjoying one just forget about it.
Having fake primaries sure didn’t help.

Survivor bias is a thing and part of the reason people are nostalgic for old media.
It’s pretty clear after skimming the list that this is a top 100 games we liked from recent years and a few classics that if we don’t mention people will get mad.
