I rarely get ads, thanks to pihole. But whenever my server is down for maintenance etc. I get spammed with “Visit the USA!” and “America the Beautiful” ads. I live in Australia… Why the fuck would I want to visit that shithole country?

It seems like the US is drowning and is trying desperately to get more people in to replace the “illegals” they’re deporting. Maybe I’m just their target audience (straight, white, male) ughh… makes me feel gross.

I so badly want to try mesh comms… But I live in rural Australia, so… Yeah.

Already set entertainment-wise with my TrueNAS server full of movies, TV shows, books (epub and audio), and music. Also have a massive library of retro games and emulators.

The tricky part would be communication, other than SMS/MMS, media rich communication is out. Guess I could burn DVDs/BDRs and mail them to family and friends, I have ~400 blank discs in a humidity/temperature controlled storage box.

Verbatim still manufactures their DataLifePlus series of BD-Rs, and they are excellent. The market otherwise is pretty bleak… Ritek offers nothing that compares to the DLP discs.

Also, side note, Pioneer (once a leading manufacturer of BD burners), no longer makes them. LG is the lone surviving manufacturer I believe.

My P10P XL has no micro SD slot, and no 3.5mm jack. Plus I don’t want to lug it around when I’m out walking etc.

lol. Okay I’ll bite. So, hypothetically, antidepressants are no better than a placebo; I’ve been on almost every class of them over the last 5 years, trying to find a good fit. SSRIs, SNRIs, Tricyclics, MAOIs, SMS/MSAs.

Some (Tricyclics) worked extremely well, but they caused liver issues, so I had to quit them. Others, like MAOIs caused immediate and life threatening reactions in the form of bradycardia and hypertension.

I’m finally settled on a class that works well and doesn’t cause horrible side effects (SMS). There is no way in hell a placebo could have put my body through the hell I’ve experienced trialling all of these drugs.
