Hmm sounds like you were pretty annoyed by this :D
Did you play far cry blood dragon? The protagonist complains about how the tutorial is boring.

That is certainly true. It just sucks, that so many people are scrambling for jobs and rich people get richer. There has to be a better way.
That was the one where you swing the sword with the wiimote right? Maybe they were worried there, people would be confused.
I mean if you pay someone to watch something, you think it is a super easy job, but you want him to do their best.
Still I don’t think it’s reasonable for someone to be at maximum alertness watching like a store somewhere at night.
But I believe there are many jobs where people don’t care. You have to be there and not break some rules, but that’s it.
Just type in the 7500 cheatcode and you can take shortcuts through military airspace.
Do they really have tutorials in the classical sense? They start dead simple and add stuff gradually, almost like the entire game is a little bit of tutorial to the point where people make up their own challenges.
But I mean many people have already lost their job because AI automated it away.
You only like it because you can hit people? You know that game?
Yellow is difficult, I think :D
This is exactly what I think every time I hear about boring jobs. Why not use the time for something else? But I suppose in many boring jobs you are still monitored and have to pay attention.
Someone still has to write the instructions. AI might not become a replacement for the engineer, but a more powerful compiler, that is still fed with code written by engineers.
It would be cool to have an adaptive game, that notices the player looks around and walks, dont have to explain that, but maybe I need to… no they picked up the can no need to explain that. Oh, seems like they don’t know they need to throw the cable into the puddle to close the circuit to open the door, my time to explain sth.
I like my job
For many things you need a computer, that runs all the time, that is connected to the internet, that has not too much and not too little performance. You want to run a website, a forum, a file server, a …? You need just such a computer. Cloud is a large word, that essentially refers to services, where you can easily rent a computer of your choosing for money, to run any and all services on. What you are refering to is probably cloud storage, where the service is, you can send and receive files from a server. The technical details can become complicated, how to ensure the files are always up to date, what if you make different changes on different devices at the same time, do we create a local copy or do we stream all file interactions. But the summary is this: There is a computer somewhere else, running a service, being rented from a cloud provider.
It’s like they don’t see them as people, they like a machine, out of view out of mind, but that person has to live somewhere, buy clothes pay bills etc.
What is your favorite color on a car?
It is one of those things, that are so good, that it becomes difficult to enjoy other instances, that are similar.
Does anyone have suggestions for other good podcasts on cybersecurity? I enjoy “malicious life” by cybereason and I heard about “ISC StormCast”, not yet tried it.
Does anyone have other good suggestions?
Just got approved on this platform and just wanted say, that I am quite exited. How is everyone?
I’m sure it’s a difficult balance as a developer.
It’s easy for someone who has played many games to underestimate how much is new to someone who has not played as many games.
