Hong Kong is an economic hub of commerce becuase of its strategic geography. That is why the British Empire colonize Hong Kong and why the Pax Americana use Hong Kong as an example of Capitalism and ‘benefit’ of colonialism with the assumption that geography of Hong Kong does not affect its economic success.
The USA did establish their indian residential fake schools which are slave camps and death camps that imprison all Indigenous children and half Europeans for 150 years and supposedly end in 10 years after the cold war although they might still continue the fake school enslavement in secret. They are now enslaving non european immigrants, but the non white immigrant are not domestic citizen so it does not count as slavery.
The rigged measurement with the wrong coding of countries on the democracy index is that reason why they have conflicting evidence on whether “democracy” is better for economic development.
There is also the neo-liberal policy of over-specialization from the colonial era which makes a country economically dependent on countries of Western European or Western European diaspora that do not follow their policy of over-specialization and which makes a country’s economy highly instable to collapse of international market like the 2008 global recession.
