I used to listen to to The Daily pretty frequently but in the past few years, I have become increasingly frustrated with the quality of journalism. I don’t know if they have changed or if I’ve just become more aware. They’re definitely not going to any great lengths to afflict the comfortable.
Oh, I agree. I’m duly impressed. It’s just that I immediately thought back to that scene from community. I’m not good about remembering to call out my sarcasm.
This problem had already been solved https://i.makeagif.com/media/3-03-2015/at5UtW.gif
Yeah, I was thinking of some of the home goods like knives or silverware. I bought a beard trimmer that could have come in a nice slim box and instead I got enough cardboard and empty space to hold 4 more. For me that has become the norm at Costco and I feel gross every time for participating.
This might seem petty by comparison but I feel like Costco is one of the worst for having wildly oversized packaging with so much wasted material. It hurts a little every time I buy something from them these days. I don’t know that I’ve seen much about it but the additional energy to produce and transport small goods with oversized packaging has to add up, no?
Curious to know how US residents could possibly go about shutting down the military-industrial complex.
I have been using Firefox for over a decade and am still more than happy with it.
I’ve been getting spammed with podcast ads lately, telling me I should switch to Amazon for podcasts bc it is ad free. Then the fast, fine print portion at the end says “some content may include ads”.
Fuck all of that.
I mask up in public too and try to encourage other to do the same, when it’s possible. It can be discouraging to see how few people are willing to do some of us are still out here, trying to minimize the risk to those around us. I like to think of my mask as a small show of solidarity for others who still choose to wear one.
Why do that when you can pull in a hydrological dataset and perform stream network analysis to find the flow path between your points of interest?
I got my ecotank two years ago and haven’t had a reason to buy ink since. I still have plenty of the ink that came with it. The most frustrating thing has been that I have to let it run through a cleaning cycle when I haven’t printed in a while. Well, that and the fact it took me a second to realize it doesn’t support WPA3.
If I visited someone’s home for the first time and saw that mirror, I would open my phone, delete them from my contacts, and walk out without saying a word. That placement is a crime.

Umphreys, Lotus, and STS9 have always been kind of a trifecta for me. I’ve also always liked Papadosio and it feels like they’re just getting better every time I see them.
Potentially less widely known, a Michigan band called Chirp. I also recently discovered Kendall Street Company and their interpretation of Eyes of the World is so good it haunts me.
Well, they are pretty clearly tripping, so maybe grain fungus has more to do with it than we realize.
What you’re entering the third act of your love story and you have to get to the church in time to break up the wedding and declare your love, what’s a little bike theft? The universe will take care of it.
My brain will spin out all day if I don’t get this off my chest:
I’ve been using the Rockwell 6s for a few years now and I’ve had a pretty good experience as well. For my everyday, the 4 setting strikes a pretty good balance
Fair play on the explosions, I expected those too. I just really wasn’t prepared for the microscopic cutaway stuff or how loud those parts would be in the theater
