Tried commuting via MRT after 3 years of avoiding public transport and it’s surprisingly just about the same experience I had on good days before the pandemic. On a related note, one of the stems on my foldable umbrella finally broke after a decade of use, so now I’ve a reason to buy a new one.
My average travel time between work and home is usually around 30 minutes. Last night it took 2 hours; nearly an hour trapped at the Santolan U-turn and another from that U-turn to Ortigas. I half-expected the problem to be due to a higher volume of traffic going into Ortigas at the Ortigas flyover, but it was actually caused by an unusual volume at Ortigas ilalim; presumably to take either take a right turn to San Juan, or a U-turn to EDSA’s northbound side. It’s almost like an ouroboros.
Goes to show how infrastructure can be caught unprepared for unusual weather patterns. I shudder at the thought of getting a few days of snow here.
And without. The update already provides the option to just Remove ads.
Honestly, I still passed on some titles as the covers were not visually interesting to me. But there was still quite a lot I had to skip due to costs. This was already an unexpected splurge for me, but I like the idea of supporting local authors.
