Isomalt is a sugar substitute, a mixture of the two disaccharide alcohols 1,6-GPS and 1,1-GPM. It is used primarily for its sugar-like physical properties. It has little to no impact on blood sugar levels, and does not stimulate the release of insulin.
What are the ingredients? I hope it’s not too exciting
Just like Mom used to make!
I had no idea what isomalt is :https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isomalt
The main ingredient is a artificial sugar! Neat.
Yea, it’s because it’s not nearly as sweet as real sugar but can still act as the proper binder for the “candy”
Just be careful. Sugar alcohols like isomalt can cause stomach issues and diarrhea.
