I largely agree with you. I think this is more “in-group” than “out-group” directed.
Moreover, if we are going to take a meme like this seriously, and not tongue-in-cheek, as I believe it is intended, it is still too difficult to onboard and offboard at scale and volume for laundering purposes compared to how easy that is to do with traditional fiat.
Efficient systems take the lath of least resistance. Physical cash, fiat, and the traditional financial markets are still far easier to accomplish this with, and so that is what the big time launderers will still primarily use for now until/unless the world goes fully digital or CBDC.

Agreed this is definitely an in-group thing. But this is exactly the kind of thing that ends up in a policy PowerPoint presentation saying that there is no legitimate use for digital cash.

I know we’re being edgy. But … promoting digital cash by promoting a criminal use of digital cash isn’t great for the movement.
Outside of the core audience, who will appreciate it. This is direct ammunition for people who want to kill monero.
Money laundering is still a crime even if you use physical cash.
It might be better to make memes about the fungibility of monero, doesn’t matter who spent it before it’s your money now. Something like that
