I feel like using Gentoo is cheating. Ubuntu was up to 5.04 in 2005.
That’s the second ubuntu release though right? Like basically a reskinned debian clone?
Back in the day I would take a detour and install Links and IRSSI to run on alternate virtual terminals while doing the Gentoo install. Nowadays I install Gentoo from the comfort of the Fedora installer.
