The EU has always been vassalized in the US Empire. it isn’t particularly surprising. They realize that it’s awful, but they benefit from it so they support it.
They benefited from it up until now. The empire is in decline and lashing out. All of its colonies and vassals will feel the pain sooner or later. And I hope they do. They deserve it for supporting the US all these decades and pillaging the third world
