It’s okay, it shuffles between being goofy and being edgelord serious. I prefer when it’s being a little goofy. Even though the show has gradually trended towards being more serious especially towards season finales.
It is very violent and graphic in depictions of superheroes getting killed. So giant content warnings for it.
I’d probably give it a 6/10, maybe an 8 if you’re really into comic book shenanigans.
6/10
Its fine
it’s superhero slop penned by your average ‘i hate superheroes hehe’ writer (rob kirkman). It is neither truly good nor bad. Better than The Boys at least, but still falls prey to the same central flaw that centering your entire plot around “wow a superhero that kills
” results in a mediocre story at best.spoiler
The comic ends with Mark being the Viltrumite Emperor with Eve & their kid and also his other child born out of sexual assault (he got assaulted not the other way around) for 500 years and thinking “this is what i’ll have after 500 years, dad”
also there’s a whole time-travel sideplot where he gets to go back to when he first got his powers and fix a bunch of deaths he caused, because I think Kirkman realized ‘wait Mark really has killed millions’…like ok bro
Looks like I’m the odd one out, but I think it rocks. 10/10 from me. The first episode is very ‘meh,’ but there is a hook at the end of it, and the show picks up from there. If you aren’t into it by the end of the first season, I don’t think you’ll like it later. Hope that helps
I like it. Watch it. By the first 3 episodes you should be able to decide if it is for you. It is very gory though just as a warning.
I think it’s a lot of fun.
cape shit? gonna be a no from me dawg
