Pro tip: be careful not to turn too fast while firing rockets. The devs said there’s a known bug where your rocket collides with your mech if you’re rotating a certain direction.
That direction is right. The rockets pods are on the left of the cockpit, so if you are aiming right, and the body hasn’t fully turned to match your aiming circle, the rocket will fire from the left, go directly to the right, and explode on hitting the cockpit.
The issue here is they seem to have programmed the missiles to fire in the direction of where you are aiming your cursor, instead of firing in the directing the missile pods are current facing.
This is fine with held weapons, as it is snappier and more accurate and feels better. But when. There is an intentional turret rotation delay, as in the mech, it means when the rockets shoot out of the pod heading in the direction of the cursor instead of going straight, they can go 90° directly into your cockpiy.
So… Be careful when turning right. And pay attention to where that missle pod is facing when shooting.
Sometimes it’s your own rocket too.
Do not try to place map markers while in the mech.
I finally could afford it last night, second rocket I fired, blew myself up
