OK, I admit it, this magpie was being bribed with a chunk of cake - which rather surprised me, as they don’t normally pay much attention to me eating. Oh, and resized to a ninth of the pixels to meet Lemmy limits.

Nice and sharp. What are these limits you speak of? I get full resolution versions of all the photos posted here.
The original JPG is a terrifying 28MB, 5464x8192 pixels.
Lemmy wasn’t even prepared to play with something half that height and width, so I had to go thirds. I’m not sure if its file size or pixel dimensions (JPGs have some compression, sometimes, even at 100% quality, so a little hard to be sure).
Certainly 28MB is overkill and I rarely export at 100% quality, but I had no problems uploading my 16 MP JPEGs. It must be a size limit?
