Saying any species not evolving for millions of years is a misnomer anyway. A living fossil only superficially resemble ancient species. Since both nautilus and horseshoe crabs are considered living fossils I thought it’s a fair comparison.
But this is a silly little comic ultimately about the existential dread of modern human life so this level of pedantry isn’t needed.
He didn’t. All but one of his diverse descendants were wiped out along with the dinosaurs, relatively “recently”.
