    This tree is near perfect for this owl. I like how it has some weathered strips that match the rusty color of the facial disc, while the rest matches the body color nicely.

    I still don’t get why this owl doesn’t seem more popular here. Long Ears have so many great features of medium and large owls and I think they’re so beautiful, but they never seem to get the updoots of other owls.

      Well this one is like those magic pixel images you have to squint at, so that’s one thing.

      But yes, very distinguished looking.
