An old postcard
Isn’t there a word for the aesthetic yet?
Grainy
Postcard aesthetic isn’t good enough?
It works but I just thought there was already a name for it
I’d like to know too. It evokes a strange sense of nostalgia.
How old are you? 90?
That’s why it’s strange. I never experienced it.
I just love the look of old postcards
looks like a b&w grainy picture thats been colorized with watercolor. supposed to be dreamy/romanticized
Check out Autochrome images, some very intriguing early color photography using that process.
I think it is an earlier process from 1880 called photochrom invented by Hans Jacob Schmid and close to lithography. It is an hand-coloring process. Autochrome came later and are closer to photography with additive color on a mosaic screen plate.
It looks like a hand coloured photo to me, which were apparently popular in Japan for a while
