While I have many hours in Foundation, for some reason I always drop my runs in the mid to late. With other city-builders I usually go all in with elaborate design that are both optimized and visually pleasing.
I do think there path mapping is to blame as even with optimized layouts, growth tends to slow down in the mid to late game.
My experience with Foundation is that it had the same mid-late game issue that most resource-gathering games have: path-mapping.
More often than not workers would struggle figuring out where to go or would go through the most inefficient routes.
I hope that’s fixed because it was a lovely chill builder (albeit a bit slow paced).
