Am I crazy or is that a huge Haze nerf?

I know they added that spirit damage part after removing her hitting 2 targets so now they’re just removing the spirit damage completely or am I missing something?

I don’t play her but she felt like bottom tier for anyone that’s not a beginner so a nerf is surprising.

Haze belongs bottom tier because its a braindead hero design. Also wdym with “removing hitting 2 targets”? I didn’t play DL for quite some time, but does that mean her ult can only hit a single target right now? Is it the closest one? Aka if she ults and me teammate gets low, I can save him by cuddling haze?

Her shots are spread across all targets in range. This is why you actually want to minimize the number of enemies around you when ulting as Haze. Inexperienced Haze players try to ult the entire enemy team, but this spreads her damage so thin it just tickles everyone a little.

She used to have an ability upgrade that made each “shot” hit two targets, essentially doubling the dps of her ult when more than one target was in range. This made it so that she was a little stronger when ulting multiple targets. It has since been removed.

Originally her ult only hit one target, they changed it to 2 to buff her since she’s pretty bad once you have people smart enough to use metal skin if she’s fed.

That made her pretty OP so they changed it back to 1 but had her ult also do spirit damage to offset how hard countered she could be.

I haven’t been able to play much since the new map rework since with kids i don’t get as much time to play as I used to but it sounds like she (and any hero that was good with farming) has benefited enough from the new map that they felt she should be nerfed.

I agree with you she shouldn’t be a hero that’s strong since she’s too easy to play but was just shocked at the nerf based on my experience with the old map but makes a bit more sense hearing about the new meta the map rework has made.

Edit: I’m probably explaining it bad but think she can only shoot at one target at a time within her range but that doesn’t mean all her shots are only hitting 1 hero, she used to be able to basically shoot at 2 targets at once so it was a pretty big DPS increase.

      She was completely broken.

Spirit Haze had no counter. The duration and damage of her ult scales with spirit, which meant that with enough spirit, she was completely unbeatable.

Metal skin did essentially nothing. You couldn’t even use the item that makes you invulnerable to outlast it, because with enough spirit, the ult would outlast it, by a lot.

Plus she can use items during it. Meaning she could keep unstoppable unused until someone actually popped knockdown on her. And she can use movement items mid-ult to chase and reposition.

Final nail, her invisibility was given half a second of invulnerability upon activation. I PLAYED AGAINST PEOPLE WHO WERE TIMING IT TO COUNTER LITERALLY ALL KINDS OF STUNS.

For a good bit there, when someone was bulding spirit Haze, your only chance was to try and deny her kills and farm.
