I’m exactly on the same page! There was a book in Portuguese that I couldn’t find to purchase as ebook, but found on Anna’s archive! And the feel of the è-ink display scratches that itch for a paper-like reading experience.
I completely understand what you are saying! I’ve been using OwnTracks for this. I’ll post that in the self hosted community later for other people that might be searching for the same. All you need is to setup your own server and it’ll upload your location there to keep it safe and private. Search and views are not as great as google’s IMO, but I’m tinkering with the available data that I have now to create something more friendly.
That’s awesome, thanks for pointing me there
That’s amazing! Any PCBs with RiscV chips available? I’d love to compile and run a node in my k8s cluster with it to test how it would run. I’d love a more efficient node!
Yep, in Brazil it’s the unwritten rule that you must have WhatsApp. SMS or iMessage are usually seeing as something bad and telegram for the “people that want to protest “
Well… Thank you for making us feel old… Very good
Hey! it will be great to have a proper alternative for the companies that are on CentOS. I take that as good news!
Quite interesting. I’m now curious on the other way around. Could we use our lemmy apps/instances to follow/post/reply to mastodon stuff?
I’d suggest getting into the !selfhosted@lemmy.world community. Plenty of alternatives to host your own rss feed manager that helps to keep that feeling of “freedom” when reading your stuff. I’m personally attached to freshrss, and it works great!
Hold on, is it not? Checking…
EDIT: Weird that it is private… But I guess that’s fine since they’re using a CDN… https://lemmy.fediverse.observer/lemmy.ca
Happy to see that my instance shows up! https://lemmy.fediverse.observer/lemmy.fancywhale.ca
Cause I’m freeeeeee
Free falling…
Heck yeah! Let’s go!
Amen to that! And more engaging conversations so far as well.
Even though osvaldo12 uses the internet, he still lives in his home.
I believe it’s a self-esteem issue. Someone that needs to enforce beliefs onto others could be very much self-aware of people ‘laughing at them’. Had my fair share of colleagues like this from a wide range of age groups and cultures, unfortunately.
Wow, that bad, eh? Haven’t been there for a month now. Just bot accounts everywhere?
