1. The contrast between Uhura’s relatively small role compared to Burnham’s leading role really fit the concept well
2. I couldn’t think of any time Guinan was ever depicted running.

I wonder if Atlantis would have been even better if he had not been too busy with Farscape to portray Sheppard, which had been the original plan. But Joe Flanigan did make for a good Sheppard, and Mitchell was a fun character anyway.

I assume it exists as an old film (like it does in our universe, just even older), but the events depicted in the films did not happen. Just like how Star Wars is a film in Stargate.
