Works with anything plugged into the wall. Software developer most of the time. Helped start a makerspace once.
Will talk about Linux, plants, space, retro games, and anything else I find interesting.
It will probably be the same as when he lost last time.
I think I found a good alternative https://github.com/sourcegit-scm/sourcegit
Playing around with it now.
Yeah its really too bad how Youtube treats other video creators. Its a strange world. Hopefully peertube (given enough time) will have some viable options or at least an alternative. Is there any other platforms that work with video creators like yourself? I personally dont know of too many other than maybe twitch? I haven’t been keeping up.
Im seeing it from a residential IP. I think its more they have an allowlist rather than a blocklist nowadays. But I can only speculate. Piped stopped working a month or so ago on my personal instance and updates dont fix it. I can imagine for video uploaders, the issue is worse.
They all do, but if im honest, I subscribe using mastodon to have a peertube “List”.
This is what it looks like:
Heres some options:
https://fedidb.org/software/peertube (some are NSFW/very little moderation).
I like maker-y or general kind of instances like:
Hope that helps!
Yep thats whats happening here by the sound of it. TILVids is a very small instance that shares donated $$ with their creators. Its a very good way to try and keep creators on the platform.
They have videos on peertube if I recall.
I haven’t. I only have a miyoo mini plus. Onion is super impressive but I’m still looking for a handheld version of stardew so these other consoles 100 or less as a potential.
The Gameboy emulation is disappointing, but hopefully another os will fix the issues.
If everything was paid off with taxes and income it would be around 1000 to 1500 if it’s a hit month. Taxes and insurance are quite a bit in California.
Love me some NSP. We have their albums.
Bandcamp is still my go-to if I can help it.
I do love me some metal. Its my walking music. Ill check them out, thanks!
Yep that’s an excellent idea.
There’s also solar ac’s that have started to catch on. I’m taking a look but they seem too new so I’m waiting a bit.
Good to know thanks!
Thanks! Phoenix is close to our weather, although this week is not a good example thank God. Its regularly over 110 most days of the summer. I have one of the watt meters + a raspberry pi that monitors our watts in real time and can tell what appliances take up the most power. The vast majority of the bill is the AC. In winter, we sip power. Our gas is actually more then.
I’m currently pulling 218 watts right now (fridge/2 laptops/small server/two pis/2 meshtastic devices/one light/ and a host of zombie power devices) and will pull a little over 3kw when the AC is on. And with the tier based system that PGE has, it means months where you do actually use the ac, they jack up the price at the worst possible times. Its closer to 60c per kilowatt hour before fees. And its going up again this year for the 4rth time…
It has new insulation but thanks.
You are absolutely right. ill be looking at the numbers. But with 50c+ per kilowatt…its going to be hard NOT to make my money back.
In my local area, a lot of the people that were violent went to the Jan 6th and got arrested. So they are still in jail. I’m not seeing the ralleys like I did last time. Its interesting. The signs are still there, but it feels like a more “normal” election. But thats just my local area, no idea what others are experiencing.
