I’m a nurse. Does that count as “blue collar”? Because I absolutely need to shower after 12 hours in the hospital.

I stopped reading when he said hot chips aren’t woke. You don’t even know the rules of your stupid, made-up game.
The Amazon series is fan fiction. This is part of the background story Tolkien wrote.
I’m not really interested in either, as they are both soulless capitalist cash grabs, but I think this has the possibility of being a decent (although completely unnecessary) film .
Just heard Plaineclothes Man for the first time last week. I love it when I find new music that really speaks to me, there’s so much good stuff out there right now.
Lol me neither
It’s not as punk, but the last three albums by Metric are brilliant in how they discuss the current state of the world.
I do, the longer it’s been the shorter they are (almost 10 years now). My trigger is seeing someone, usually in a TV or movie, take that long, exaggerated drag.
Rowsdower!
I’m working to set up connections to folks in Canada that will be willing to relocate LGBTQ folks across the border.
America - where you can get any kind of fast food you want, as long as it’s a hamburger.
-Neil Gaimen
I don’t use Linux, but I love penguins, and I want to chill with this Lil guy
For the first time, I am content. It’s honestly a wild feeling - less then a decade ago I was about a half step from homeless and an opioid user. Now I’ve successfully transitioned, gotten my dream job, and have a super cute fat kitty. And I just got a message from what seems like a genuinely decent guy who I’m meeting for coffee.
It’s fucking wild. Every day I just appreciate all the small things so much. It’s really made me refocus my goal to try to help people as much as I can now.
Rootin for yall. I hope everyone gets to feel this way.
It might be too much butter, but I think you’re also light on flour. If you’re using cups, make sure you scoop it a little over-full and then level it off. You can also try measuring if you have a kitchen scale.
Bradley Nowell. Sublime was so good, and none of the bands that have followed in their style have had the same lyricism that Nowell had, or have been able to really blend genres like they did to make something completely unique.
Such a unique talent. Knowing he died of a heart attack on stage adds a whole other dimension to “Do not go quietly unto your grave”
I agree completely. I have a 2009 that I got second hand, just passed 7 years and I’ve only had minor repairs in addition to regular maintenance.
One caveat - if you have to park on the street, invest in a cage for your catalytic converter. Mine and literally everyone else I know who has a Prius had theirs stolen. That’s the biggest expense I’ve had with mine.
Lmao, yeah, I just downloaded it. Find myself playing it waaaaay too often now
Slay the Spire. It’s so challenging that it’s always engaging when I play it.
I’m right there with you. I’m actively trying not to have sex with anyone and the game makes it hard just to talk to them sometimes, and even then the ‘non-horny’ option is often borderline horny or could be a double entendre.
I don’t really have any advice or anything, but I hope you can find some reason to keep going. It sucks feeling alone, even more so when you’re with other people.
Transitioning fucking sucks. Even if you have good results, it’s a mess to deal with, physically and socially, and those difficulties make it mentally taxing as well. Like a lot of social media, we tend to only see the really exceptional cases, and not the reality a lot of us will live with.
I wish I had something to say that could take your pain away, but I don’t. At some point, we all have to find a reason to keep going for ourselves. For me, it’s my cat. It’s nothing, in the grand scheme of things, but I’m all he has, and that’s enough to keep me going. At least for today.
Keep reaching out. Keep trying. In the end, that’s all we can really do.
