  • I don’t understand what you mean with „none of that applies“.

Regarding the culture blabla that’s the exact same narrative that we heard about the Russian-Germans and Yugoslavian in the 90s, about the Spanish, Turkish, Italian, Polish people in the 60s and literally German refugees after WW2.

Just because you keep repeating it it won’t become true.

Edit: you seem to be in the US? Wtf do you know about the situation in Sweden or Germany? You say you have family and go there every year. Good for you but if you’d actually live here you’d know the situation isn‘t like Fox News tells you or whatever hillbilly news you consume.

  • They say the same about Germany but my actual problems have nothing to do with some poor fuckers not wanting to be bombed or jailed & tortured. These problems include an underfunded education system, decades old and fucked up infrastructure, lack of digitalization, a collapsing pension system, an overwhelmed public health system, climate change, and much more.

The whole migration trope appeared out of nowhere again like a year ago, just before the genocide in Gaza started dominating all news. My biggest problem at that time was that the fucking bus is not coming and that it takes forever to get a doctor’s appointment and by now I’m pretty sure that all of this migration panic is some Russian psy-ops.

  • No we’re just doing something to address the feelings of the German population that is suffering from ever increasing brain rot, all while we ignore our actual problems such as an underfunded education system, decades old and fucked up infrastructure, lack of digitalization, a collapsing pension system, an overwhelmed public health system, climate change, and much more.

I think it’s an interesting thought, but I also don’t think there’s such a thing like the „right“ timezone.

In Germany there’s some kind of cult that thinks GMT+1 is the god given timezone and a such „natural“, but in reality that just means that in winter the sun goes down at like 15:30 in Berlin where I live. And for anyone working in an office this means you go to work when it’s dark and you come back home when it’s dark, whereas if we would just stay at GMT+2 at least when going home there would be some rays of light still.

I think in the map you can rather see the division between northern and Southern/Mediterranean countries, because people in Mediterranean countries stay out longer and it’s just a cultural thing.

I don’t know what to say to your whole thing about pictures in swimming pool and immigrants. I‘ve been to all the big clubs in Berlin and they also have all kinds of tolerance statements in their party descriptions and on the walls inside the clubs that also talk about no means no and that you can’t grope anyone. The party audience is mostly white and mostly from western countries, yet this is there. Do I now conclude that all white westerners have a problem with harassing people? That’s just ridiculous.

I’ve lived in the Netherlands btw and it seemed very popular among locals to trash German cars, break their windows, slash their tires, spray shit like „Germans out“ on cars or walls. Do I now conclude that Dutch people are all racist? Again that would be ridiculous.

My point is, your opinions are based on diffuse feelings and not on actual data („crime is getting worse“) or logical conclusions („there are posters in swimming pools, therefore immigrants harrass women“).

All I can say is that I live in Berlin right now and everything is fine. I know Ukrainians who speak fuck all German, I know Syrians who I’d never believe they’re not born here because their German is perfect. I also know it the other way around. But the point is anecdotes like these usually come from people living in small towns / villages and it seems to be because people aren’t used to the diversity and they get most of their information from the media.

In the 70s/80s the inner cities of places like Berlin, Cologne & Hamburg were full of drugs, pimps and gang violence. No one wanted to live there, they literally called Cologne Chicago am Rhein. Needless to say the pimps & gang were all ethnic Germans.

In the 90s Kottbusser Tor was one of the no go zones where you were likely to be robbed if you weren’t from the Kiez. Had to know people. Now it’s a tourist hotspot and there’s nothing comparable to what it was like back in the day. That’s btw not just my feeling but crime statistics point in the same direction. Just one example out of many. If you didn’t grow up in this mess you have no idea how safe it is in 2024, no matter what the media or politics tell you.

  • You seem to be whining a lot (typical right wing thing to do) and bring up democracy and being wrongly called a bigot and blabla, but this is an online messaging board, you don’t have to comment here.

You’re free to go to any other place. Also, the mods don’t have to leave your comment up because freedom of speech is a thing in countries, not privately run message boards.

You complain about not being able to express yourself yet your comments are up here. If a comment gets deleted, there’s a mod log.

  • Did you read the article? It doesn’t talk about one specific year and covers also the period after “the Syrian influx”. Far right terrorism consistently beats Islamist terrorism both in terms of frequency and lethality.

Regarding your second point it would just help reading the article that I linked. You may believe that you’re informed but still your feeling goes against hard facts. You asked for statistics, we gave you statistics, you still refuse to change your mind so I don’t see any point continuing this conversation.
