Very clunky on mobile and a bit unintuitive but I think it’ll work
Thay’s what I was thinking. Google maps/street view only goes back to the late 00s, but I’d like to go back as far as the early 20th century if not earlier
What movement does this “watch” have?
where i live (texas), most houses I know don’t have basements, so at least a part of texas is basement dweller free
it looks off putting to me for some reason — it reminds me of something like veins
At least he’s starting to take feedback better https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Mzhaz7WsJ-A he decided on more traditional pillow blocks and the flywheel mounted to the shaft via a shaft clamp
I still watch his videos and in my opinion he has seem to improved a bit when it comes to understanding engineering. He still has some obsession with perfection but not as much back in the MMX era (the current machine is actually called MM3)
*Marble Machine 3. The Marble Machine X was the one that Martin cancelled.
Might be an issue with the source file and the sketch or other actions they used to make the fins…
I installed this app just to have your themes. Love it so far tho I wish I can open stuff up in the external browser cause of weird fediverse/lemmy stuff (such as communities not loading posts until you subscribe to them). The fediverse is cool, but it’s also kinda weird…
glass domes my beloved
Love the solarpunk feel (i also crossposted it to the solarpunk art community, see my profile)
I feel like carbon taxes may be needed on some level in the US (and other parts of the world) as they force corporations to seek out less polluting alternatives/reduce use of fossil fuels.
It won’t 100% stop climate change but it could make quite a change
Also I feel like money collected from carbon taxes should be put towards helping those impacted by climate change, or fund solutions for climate change, directly or indirectly.
IMO Private schools are kind of “pay to win” in education (technically lots of aspects in education are quite like that at least in the US). I do wish public schooling adopts different learning styles (such as Montessori schools)
I’d estimate 5 - 7 years or so
nice to see Tom Scott finally talk about alternatives to car dependence
Wondering if this means more walkable places in the future
I think they updated the title to mark it as AI
very striking

Nice!
I really want these to become real places
