Do you have any source of it being phased out? As far as I know, at least 10 EU countries have some sort of “Golden Visa” program where you invest money in the country and get to immigrate.
I mean, its already a thing.
In many countries if you invest at least $500,000 in the country and create at least X number of jobs, you get an immigration visa.
Life is literally pay to win, if you are rich, you can just buy yourself the right to go to any country.

Tbf, you shouldn’t take news from a comedian.
They are meant to entertain, not inform. If they side with one party too much, they lose viewers.
