I have these wire shelves that are held together with these plastic caps. I’m reconfiguring the layout and ran out of caps. It’s been a decade+/- since we got these, and I can’t remember the name. Does anyone know where I can get more of these caps? Or, at least, what these caps and/or shelves are called, so I can go hunting for them?

If you aren’t satisfied with the ones you can find on amazon, here’s one you can get a friend with a 3D printer to print up.
Check your local library if you don’t have a friend with a printer.
What if I don’t have a friend without a printer?
Don’t check the local library
What if i have printer?
Are you your own friend?
- Yes: Use your own
- No: Library
Go to your local library to find a friend.
What kinda Reddit fuckery is this
This is the way.
I just searched Amazon for “wire shelf connectors” and got lots of results. I’d check measurements, but here is one result that might work:
Dailydanny Wire Cube Plastic Connector 50Pcs Wire Grid Cube Organizer Connector for Modular Closet Storage Organizer and Wire Shelving (White) https://a.co/d/aQjeY8N
I searched google and didn’t get these. Friggin targeted search results! Thank you so much!
I was also trying to find these this week, and am also thankful!
Google is so useless these days. It ignores all the special search stuff to just deliver more ads
Agreed. It is very annoying. Qwant seems to do ok, as does DuckDuckGo, but Google has failed me almost every time.
They’re called C&C. I use them for making cages for my guinea pigs. There’s lots of options on Amazon, they’re somewhat universal.
Wow that’s a blast from the past. I’ve still got one that’s blue from when i was a kid. Sits in my attic torn down as they always fall apart if u bumped into it wrong.
Searching “wire shelf plastic connectors” on ebay will give you exactly what you want.
Pro tip, if the joints on them are starting to not hold together of their own accord and you don’t want them to fall apart: use zip ties on the edges/corners to reinforce them.
You can get them on Amazon. Look for wire racking an they will be in there somewhere.
Wow this brings back memories, my family had a bunch of these years ago I don’t know what they’re called but you could try 3d printing those caps
Definitely a good idea! But they’re under enough pressure that 3d printed parts wouldn’t hold up.
I think you’re underestimating how strong 3D prints actually can be!
I’m pretty positive they would with standard PLA, but at the very least you could print them with a stronger material that absolutely would hold up.
If you’re crafty, I feel like this is something you could make out of a wooden 2x2 or a dowel stick, a jigsaw and a drill with the right bits.
