His brain is so rotted by arguing about internet drama that now all people who claim to be disadvantaged in any way are just attention seekers to him.

He kinda reminds me of Cenk Uygur in that way. I’m sure they’re both kind of unpleasant and argumentative people IRL as well, but the difference is that people IRL won’t just willingly engage with your bullshit constantly, and so there’s a natural cutoff. But on the internet, there are infinite idiots to argue with endlessly until your brain is fried.

Ive actually met Cenk Uygur. He is a lot less confident in person. Like on his videos he tends to talk loudly and has this big personality but in person not so much. I feel like a lot of internet people are like that. In person theyre all shy and soft spoken lol. Just used to screaming at a camera.

That’s kind of comforting to know. My stepdad watches a lot of TYT at loud volume, so I often have to put up with Cenk and Anna bellowing about current events.

he’s not even correctly understanding what he’s trying to talk about even a little: OCD about being a pedo is a disordered worry about becoming one, not actually being one. he literally only knows how to talk about people that are dead or in the process of dying; the living are worthy of ridicule for not currently being dug into a trench fighting the us government “maoistly” or whatever

Hmm, could it be that the commodification of all medicine has created a situation where only those with money can afford to be diagnosed and treated, while the vast majority suffer in silence?

Nah, the DSM must just be bourgeois hysterics and attention seeking

Like dude at this point just say that being gay is bourgeois decadence and come out as a nazbol, because that’s where this is going.

He also recently released the video with the clickbait thumbnail “don’t join a union”

While I can imagine he makes some good points about the shittiness of Western and especially American unions, you should still join a union even if it is shitty.

My union experience was shitty in many ways and my union fucking sucked. We won marginal gains in a 6 week strike, with union leadership lying (at best misleading) about the tentative agreement. Then those in leadership roles got to flex that they won such a successful huge strike.

But it was also a huge radicalizing experience and started me into a path of left wing politics. This was when i first learned about and felt class solidarity.

It also made me fucking hate Democrats, because at the same time as we were striking was when Biden ratfucked the railroad unions. And our shitty TA was mediated by the establishment Democrat mayor of San Diego.

I think BadEmpanada is very smart and right about most things. He has made some great video essays. I just don’t think he has good tactics for growing a left wing movement, and is blinded by doing what gets the most views. Or, he legitimately holds these strange ultra left ideas and just wants us all to wait out the death of American empire.

He said don’t join a union because that union will support imperialist policies abroad.

It’s like he was just introduced to the concept of no ethical consumption under capitalism, but only for unions. Very strange crash out

Cast your eyes towards afl-cia, uaw, aim or ila tho.

Big american unions from the birth are infiltrated by military as the only unionized industry. And I have my suspicions about teacher unions investment preferences (although only relevant to america, other countries unions are not as domesticated)

Yeah, it’s clear he has no idea at all about what OCD entails. I have a friend with OCD and I’ve seen how it can turn the most random-ass things into paralyzing crises. It’s not something I’d wish on anyone (except maybe those who claim it’s not real).

He legit just has terrible ultra left politics. I can’t remember which video it was in, but I do remember him once saying something along the lines of there being no point in trying to organize at all in the imperial core countries and if you’re a leftist there you should just like move to Palestine or Yemen and join Hamas or Ansar Allah.

In the most recent video about unions he used Haz’s fascist cult as “evidence a 3rd party is viable in the USA” because it has 10k paypigs I mean members, without even mentioning the fascist or culty elements of the ACP. Dumb to use a fascist party as an example of how a 3rd party can be a viable opposition to the status quo that people want to join in the imperial core.

Why would he use ACP over PSL when PSL are larger and anyone paying attention can see that large numbers of protests are being driven by their organising hidden by front orgs?

If Empanada was involved with organising he’d be able to see which org is the authentically impactful one. It’s obvious if you’ve actually been involved in anything.

Obviously he has not though, or else he wouldn’t have made “don’t join a union”.

PSL doesn’t really use front orgs much. What often happens is that they end up gaining de facto ownership of existing orgs because they always show up and always put in work.

Yeah but that’s basically the same thing right? Visually it is anyway.

I know for a fact that a bunch of the Palestine organising was PSL membership organising through different orgs. The email addresses for help with travel were always PSL emails even if the org name for the protest was something else. Most people wouldn’t notice but you pick it up if you’ve been involved in orgs before.

Oh. Yeah I don’t give a shit about that lmao if using a front org is effective for a cause then do eet it’s absolutely everywhere in europe to the extent i don’t even think anyone even calls them “front orgs” but like… Subsidiaries? Sub-orgs? Affiliate orgs? Child orgs? I dunno I see loads of terms for it. It’s all the same shit I just use the most blunt explanation for everything because I’m not about sugarcoating anything.

Fuck this guy in particular, but also this is a big reason why the OCD community is so sparse online. Talking openly about your themes generally makes people assign desires and intentions to you that just make things worse.
