People who get broken up about Molotov-Ribbentrop are so pathetic. The USSR has many crimes that you can point to in various domains, but M-R is absolutely not one of them.
I think it’s intentional. If they pointed to an actual crime of the USSR, communists would just go ‘Yes that was fucked and they shouldn’t have done that’, thus disproving their point about communists being brainwashed or campist or whatever. As it is they can just say ‘look at these tankies defending all these crimes!’
Probably for some people, but I think others are or have been listening too much to aggrieved Polish nationalists and people like that.
