In practice getting the vaccine if you’re age 12 and up is fairly straightforward: make an appointment at CVS, and check the box saying you’re in a high-risk group. I was asked no further questions by CVS, though I have heard some stories of people having issues with insurance.
You can’t cure stupid, and unfortunately the rest of us suffer the consequences.
It’s true that there’s no cure for stupid, but there is a vaccine. What you do is don’t take the vaccine, and nature does the rest.
The point here is that there is a vaccine, but the fucking imbeciles in charge of shit here have restricted access to the vaccine, which makes it way harder for normal, reasonable, civically-responsible people to get it.
I’d agree if not for herd immunity.
There is no herd immunity when only, say, 10% of the population gets the vaccine, and the virus circulating now is just enough different from the ones circulating a year ago that basically nobody has immunity to it.
This is either sarcasm or disingenuous. More than 10% have the Covid-19 vaccine and while mutations make prior doses less effective, it’s not binary or on/off in effectiveness. I’m referring to vaccines as a whole and how extremely effective they are so long as everyone has them.
85% in the region have one vaccination, which is useless after a year, and barely 15% has maintained annual vaccinations. And, no one is washing their hands after taking a shit any more.
I stand by my statement and your data points support what I’m saying about vaccines as a whole.
