    I somehow dont like this… Maybe its the simplicity or the obvious “haha let me use my powers for comfort” thing I feel is overdone…

    its weird. I kept scrolling past this post and really trying not to care but i couldnt.

    oh well, here we are.

    EDIT: oh I think I know what it is now! its that TV trope where cute little animal thing does menacing thing… I think thats it. thats what kept triggering me.

      To be fair I think the idea of Mewtwo as cute is something largely done by the community. The anime and movies seem to portray them way more like a classical villain or monster. Not a cute kitty with psychic powers, in fact I don’t think Mewtwo is acknowledged as cute in any official capacity. Mew is portrayed that way, but not Mewtwo.

        this one in particular gives me that vibe… were yesyjust as u say, its a generally not cutie peep being portrayed as cutie but aaaalso them still going the menacing thing… which feels like an overblown joke… may really just be me tho.

    I like the idea that Mewtwo is just a big psychic kitty cat. Always looking disinterested yet always in the same room as you. Decides loudly that now is the time for food, or pets, or playtime.

        I don’t even know what it was but I touched some pink leathery something in a wooded area everyone played in as a kid and it gave me a rash, and nobody knew what it was and I never found it again. I always found mew and mewtwo gross because of that but I never really thought of that as the cause back then.
